Yes. Prior to the expiration of your current Connecticut medical marijuana card, the state medical marijuana registration system will allow your attending healthcare provider to begin the renewal application. The physician will confirm to have you under care and complete specific sections on the renewal form online. Thereafter, you will be required to provide a photo ID and proof of Connecticut residence, complete other sections of the online form, and update any additional information to the extent it has changed from the previous year. Upon submitting the application on the registration system, the Connecticut medical marijuana program will review your submission and issue a new medical marijuana card.
A patient's registration is valid up to one year from the date of the written certification issued by your physician, physician assistant, or advanced practice registered nurse. Your card's expiration date is stated on the front of your medical marijuana card.
All patients must be recertified by their physicians every year before the expiration date to maintain a valid medical marijuana registration in Connecticut.
